Come make new friends, fix your bike fit problems, learn to change a flat, and how to fuel your body for a long ride. Fully Supported
Goldilocks spoils participants by providing support unmatched by any other event.
Goldilocks also takes care of her riders providing fully stocked rest stops, Papa Bears on bike, a dispatch phone number with operators to assist if you need help along the course, SAG vehicles roving the entire course if you need to be transported, and a delicious catered lunch, and many, many Mama and Papa Bear volunteers throughout the course.
Papa Bears
Due to repeated requests from Goldilocks participants wishing to ride with their favorite male riding companions, Goldilocks now reserves 10% of ride registrations for Papa Bear riders.
Papa Bears register as any other participant, they are tracked through the ‘male catagory’. At packet pickup they are given the coveted Papa Bear jersey, tubes and CO2. They may ride along, enjoying the event with you, we only ask they help anyone in need they may come across as they ride.
If you ride with a Papa Bear who wants to ride, don’t wait to get him registered. If your Papa Bear already has a jersey from previous years, email [email protected] for a free registration code.
Rest Stops
Expect to see a rest stop with portable restrooms every 10-20 miles along the course. All rest stops are stocked with fresh fruit, Swedish fish, pretzels, Wheat Thins, hard candy, Fig Newtons, Oreos, licorice, pickles and PB&J. Beverages include Water and your choice of Gatorade mix. Love and Encouragement also provided.
Shirt
Goldilocks designs her own custom tee shirt every year. Expect this event tee to be your favorite! She knows just what women want and always comes through providing a premium women specific shirt. It’s the one you’ll want to wear every day!
If the shirt you order doesn’t fit the way you expect, please bring it to the event. Goldilocks orders lots of extra shirts and most the time can exchange it for one that is ‘just right’. Occasionally we run out of certain sizes, but we’ll do what we can to make it right.
Photos
Goldilocks thinks photos should be FREE! She hires the best photographers to be at the finish line and multiple locations along the course. Be sure to smile big and strike a pose for the cameras. Make sure your bib is visible so we know who is in each photo.
Photos will be made available a week or so after the ride along with your ride results.
Finisher Jewelry
Goldilocks awards her finishers with a darling, sterling silver, hand-crafted finisher’s necklace as they cross the finish line. Dress up your necklace at the Goldilocks event shop with charms that personalize your finisher’s necklaces with your ride distance, birthstone or a number of inspirational phrases.
Age/Equipment Limitations & Requirements
Goldilocks is open to all females who can pedal under their own power and can finish the course in the allotted amount of time before the course sections close. Not recommended for children under 8.
Helmets are mandatory. Please carry spare tubes, water bottles, a patch kit, and tire pump with you during the ride.
Road bikes, mountain bikes, beach cruisers, tandem bikes (buy two ride entries), electric assist bikes, TT bikes, etc. are all welcome! No bike trailers, please.
Swag
Everyone likes little surprises. Goldilocks always does her best to fit in a few little extras in her goodie bags at packet pick up. Participants love the high quality water bottle, temporary tattoos and other sponsor goodies.
Catered Meal
As you know, Goldilocks is picky about food and is known for her catered lunch. Depending on your mileage, lunch will be served on the course or after the ride at the finish line.
Each event is a little different, but you can expect an elegant display of gourmet sandwiches, a variety of fresh fruit, your choice of chips, drinks and her famous fresh baked cookies.
Ditch Bags
Dress warm in the morning knowing you can label and bag your extra items and leave them at the start line or any of our rest stops in the appropriate bins and we’ll transport them to the finish line for you.
SAG Services
Part of our fully supported ride means if you have a problem on the course, or can’t continue, we’ll provide support to help you solve it or bring you and your bike back to the finish line.
We’ll have Papa Bears on bikes to assist with minor problems. We’ll have marked roving vehicles with basic equipment to fix a more serious problem or transport if necessary. Bike Mechanics will also be stationed at most rest stops.
Finish Line Festivities/Spectators
No one wants to finish a race with no fanfare. Goldilocks knows how to throw a party and her event wouldn’t be the same without family and friends to cheer on participants as you cross the finish line.
Bathrooms
The start line and all the rest stops have plenty of glamorous, clean portable restrooms.
True-Fit Jerseys
Goldilocks is known for being the only true-fit cycling jersey that fits real women.
She’s gone to a lot of trouble to perfect a pattern sure to flatter every woman! Feel confident to order a jersey in whatever size you’d buy for yourself at the store.
Her silky, extra-long, full-zip jerseys are available for a discounted price with your ride registration or can be purchased anytime at our on-line shop.
Although sizes may be limited, jerseys will also be available for sale at packet pick-up and at the event.
Change Your Distance
No matter what you registered for, at packet pickup, you may let the volunteer know which mileage you want to ride.
The Cause
Goldilocks knows her participants like to ride for a cause! Hair donations are collected at each event. Donations are used to make real-hair wigs for women and children who otherwise could not afford them.
